Christmas Season

Advent
We celebrate the beginning of the Advent season with “Hanging of the Greens,” celebrating the first Sunday of the Advent season through traditional music, drama, and decorations.
Christmas
Christmas Eve — Plymouth holds three distinct services. At 5 p.m. there is a family service that concludes with music and live animals in a creche for the children to pet outside in the Cloister Garden. At 8 p.m. there is a traditional service of lessons and carols, highlighted by the choir, instruments, and music resources of our congregation. At 11 p.m. there is a Communion service that concludes with the congregation singing “Silent Night” by candlelight.
Christmas Day, 10 a.m. — Plymouth holds a brief, informal family service. The Christmas Story and a special Christmas prayer are the focus of this service.
