Weddings

As part of its ministry, Plymouth is committed to accommodating those who sincerely wish to be married at our church. We offer our facilities and staff for weddings of both members and non-members.

The United Church of Christ proudly ordains both men and women to the ministry and the church’s ministerial staff includes both. Members may select their preferred minister. For non-member wedding ceremonies, the church will select the officiating minister. The officiating minister is responsible for and has authority over the arrangements and services. A ceremony date is confirmed after the couple meets with the minister for their required premarital counseling.

For wedding ceremonies Plymouth Congregational Church provides the pastor, organist, wedding coordinator and rehearsal staff, candles and green plants. Flowers, photographers, and reception are the responsibility of the wedding party. Music selections and soloists can be arranged for an additional fee through Plymouth's director of music and organist. Plymouth does not have a reception hall available.

Geri is available by appointment Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, wedding packets with preliminary information may be picked up at the Church Office, located across Devon Road from the sanctuary.

(All couples must present a valid Florida marriage license and a minister of this church must officiate.)
